Overview

In The Ground is a high-stakes decision-driven experience set completly in the bunker, after the end of civilization. It's a multiplayer social game, where up to 6 players compete against each other, while having to cooperate to save the bunker.

The core focus was emotional weight. Every action costs something. There are no clean victories.

Audio Programming

Here's my work in the field of game and level design.

Starting Point

Base environment without lighting or post processing. Focused on layout clarity and diegetic object placement.

Lighting Pass

High contrast lighting with aggressive highlights to push mood. Darkness used as a design tool, not just atmosphere.

Post Processing

Custom LUT system with 20+ palettes. Full stack tuning including bloom, contrast curves, and tonal compression.

Art

I created some of the art assets for the game. I focused on making a set of bits that could be assembled together in various ways.

Shaders and post processing

I handled the game’s visual direction and implementation. Aside from most 3D models, all visuals were created and implemented by me.

Visual minimalism and environmental sound design reinforce psychological pressure.

Outcome

Delivered a fully playable vertical slice within two months. The project demonstrated strong narrative cohesion, atmospheric direction, and systems clarity.
